This year’s season closing takes place on the island of Sardinia (Italy). The 6th edition of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals brings together the 10 top teams for both genders. The five-day, US$ 800,000 prize money event is hosted in Italy for the second time after the last edition was held in Rome in 2019.
Pool play will take place from Wednesday to Friday, semifinals on Saturday and the medal matches are scheduled for Sunday. In both competitions, the reigning Tokyo Olympic champions are competing. It will be one of the most interesting questions if Norway’s Anders Mol and Christian Sorum as well as (US)A-Team Alix Klineman and April Ross can again bring their best game to the table at this late point of time in the year. For US legend Jake Gibb it will be the last tournament in his career and his partner Taylor Crabb will need to find a new team mate.
