The Singapore 4-star event in April next year is coming up with a new concept compared to a standard FIVB 4-star event. The Singapore Beach Open 2020 from April 15-19 will be Southeast Asia’s largest sports event and the first-ever FIVB 4-star World Tour event in the region.
Besides world-class beach volleyball, the organizers are coming up with an event that does also feature pop concerts, numerous family-friendly activities and a large selection of Singaporean cuisine. The beach arena will be a temporary facility with an innovative design and concept that fits into the natural beauty of Singapore.
Being part of the Olympic qualification process towards Tokyo 2020, the tournament is an important milestone with 1200 points on the line for the winning teams. The event is supposed to be the starting point of boosting Singapore as the beach volleyball hub of Southeast Asia.
