The AVP Seattle Open are the fourth stop on the 2019 tour, marking the end of the first half of the eight events cycle. 16 teams for both men and women will play in the main draw from Friday to Sunday – ten seeds, two wild cards and 4 qualifiers. Total prize money in Seattle is US$150,000.
Due to the upcoming World Championships in Hamburg (Germany) starting on June 28, most US top teams decided to not participate in Seattle. Oldies Phil Dalhausser/ Nick Lucena who couldn’t finish last week’s FIVB warsaw event, Tri Bourne/ Trevor Crabb as well as A-Team Alix Klineman/ April Ross and Sara Hughes/ Summer Ross prefer to prepare for the highlight of the 2019 season in Hamburg.
Nevertheless, last year’s champions Taylor Crabb/ Jake Gibb and Emily Day/ Betsi Flint will try to defend their titles at the shores of Lake Sammamish. Check out schedule and results at the AVP event page.
